I won’t be posting a full article today because I’m working on a special Halloween treat for all you boys and girls. For the first time in The History Blog history, I am writing a multi-part story. It is a macabre tale full of chills, thrills and shocking twists that wouldn’t be out of place in a Hammer Horror movie, only it’s all true.
The first part will go live (or is it? ) at the stroke of midnight tonight.

Awesome!
Awesomely horrifying!
“A macabre tale full of chills, thrills and shocking twists that wouldn’t be out of place in a Hammer Horror movie, only it’s all true”??? Oh Lord, no matter how hard I try, I can’t get away from the presidential campaign! Couldn’t you just mail me some candy corn or a snickers bar instead?
Actually, presidencies are involved, but only in a very passing, tangential way. This story’s terror is downright heartwarming in comparison. Also, I stick with mini-Twix for Trick or Treat. It’s the money candy and I will brook no contradiction on the subject.
Can’t wait !!
Tuck yourself in, you better hold on to your teddy
It’s a Nightmare on Blog Street and guess who’s playing Freddy!
(With apologies to Nicki Minaj.)
Wheee! :boogie: :skull: :boogie:
More like “Boo!” :skull:
Wonderful! I look forward to it. I hope that the grand finale will arrive on my birthday, November 1!
Right now I’m leaning toward a three-parter, so the grand finale would be the 2nd, but I promise Part II will be worthy of your birthday.
Ooooh! How exciting! Can’t wait! :skull:
Only a few hours left. :boogie:
I am glad your posts generally show up in my day time thanks to time zones as I don’t do scary stuff too well but I’m keen to see what you write about 🙂
You should be fine with the reading as there are only one or two truly gross bits, but be careful clicking on the third image from the bottom. Seen in high resolution, it’s … unsettling.
Am very curious to read the upcoming story!
Can’t wait!
Thanks for the warning, it’s much appreciated as I generally open all pictures at full resolution 🙂
NANCY DREW, WHERE ARE YOU!?
