    1. In the 4th century AD, the Cypriot bishop Epiphanius of Salamis wrote that in Alexandria, at the same time as the festival of Epiphany (i.e. January 5th to 6th), the birth of Aion/ Aeon was celebrated in the sanctuary of Kore.
